What is Kundalini Yoga?

Kundalini yoga is a sacred practice designed to awaken our higher consciousness.

The Sanskrit translation of “Kundalini” means “coiled snake.” Eastern religion, way before Buddism and Hinduism, believed that every human being held the divine within themselves. At the base of the spine, this divine energy (coiled snake) was stagnant and waiting to be uncoiled.

The practice of Kundalini Yoga is also known as the yoga of awareness. Through this practice, a deep awareness of the consciousness that is present within each of us is developed. We come to understand that this consciousness is not solely a deity in the sky, but it’s an energy that connects each of us.
