There are times when life feels too stressful and overwhelming, and that’s when radical self-care comes in. Here are a few ways to incorporate stress relief practices in the midst of a busy time.

  • Wait 15 minutes before checking your phone in the morning.

  • Schedule 10 minutes to just "be." Put it in your calendar.

  • Get some fresh air by opening a window or going on a walk.

  • Take a magnesium supplement before bed.

  • Listen to a guided meditation on Insight Timer.

  • Play with a furry friend.

  • Take a bubble bath.

  • Call a friend who lifts your spirits.

  • Read a good book.

  • Watch a hilarious show and laugh.

  • Eat nourishing meals.

  • Move your body, even if it’s just for a few minutes.

  • Write in a journal.

  • Go to therapy.

  • Bake something sweet or cook something savory.

  • Color in a coloring book.

  • And so much more! Do whatever brings you joy and keeps you grounded and present in the moment.
